My approach to photography and what to expect
On your special occasion, I don’t want you to be thinking about the photographs. It’s my mission to make sure the photography happens as effortlessly as possible and without a second thought (from you). It’s your job to enjoy yourselves with your friends and family, having a great time eating cake and catching up with loved ones.
With my approach there’ll be no standing on ceremony, awkward posing or saying “cheese” to the camera for what seems like an eternity. This day is all about the two of you, your friends and family, having the time of your lives.
As a documentary event photographer, on your special occasion I behave just like another guest, (who happens to have a couple of nice cameras in her hand). I won’t be hiding in a bush from afar snapping away, I’ll be with your friends and family, capturing what it really feels like to be there (in a very discrete way).
When you look back at the slideshow, you’ll relive it all over again - often seeing lots of things that you didn’t even notice at the time!
I’m happy to take some family portraits if you’d like them, but It won’t take up too much time, so that you can enjoy the day as it was intended, with your friends, family and loved ones.

A £200 deposit is all thats required to secure your date. Instalment plans are available on request.

Viewing the gallery and fine art print products
Around 4 weeks after your session you will receive a link to view your private online gallery of curated photographs and watch the slideshow (on repeat)!
You’ll also get the opportunity to purchase from a range of beautiful fine art print products should you wish.
And that’s it! You’ll have access to the private online gallery for 12 months, plenty of time to download everything and order any fine art print products you desire.

Photography for events FAQ’S:

Your finished gallery will be ready within four weeks.
I take a lot of time to carefully select and hand-edit your images for you. As soon as everything is ready, you’ll receive a private online gallery to view and download your photographs. If you need the photographs sooner for any reason, just let me know and i’ll see what i can do!

Depending on the event, you’ll receive a minimum of 50 edited images, often more.
I don’t limit the gallery to a small number — if it’s a lovely moment, it goes in, likewise i’m very careful to deliver the absolute best images which tell the story of your special occasion. Generally a full day event will equate to around 300-400 images, a half day would be around 200 and a ‘petite party’ 50-100.

I photograph everything from small family gatherings to large corporate and charity events.
Whether it’s a birthday celebration, family get together, awards evening, launch event, festival or fundraiser, I document it with a relaxed, documentary approach — nothing staged, unless you specifically request a few group shots which we can do without a fuss when everyone is ready.

Yes — you’re welcome to share any ‘key moments’ for me to be aware of in advance.
While I focus on natural, storytelling imagery, I’m there to photograph the moments that matter to you. A few weeks before the event you’ll receive a form to fill in where you can tell me about any key details, group shots and important moments and I’ll make sure they’re covered.

I can stay longer if needed, overtime is charged at an agreed hourly rate.
When you book, I’ll outline the coverage times and any overtime rate so everything is clear. I never book more than one event in a day so that i’m flexible for you. Events don’t always run to plan but don’t worry, I can always stay longer if needed so nothing important is missed.

Yes — there’s an online shop in your gallery from which you can order prints, albums and wall art.
I have an extensive background in design and art direction and specialise in producing beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces of fine art photography for your space.
I love nothing more than to create something unique and special, and seeing photographs in print and on the walls is my absolute joy.
There’s a personally selected range of Fine Art products available and fully bespoke pieces of print can also be designed specifically with your family and home in mind.

Yes — I arrive with multiple cameras, lenses and everything is backed up.
I always photograph with 2 cameras which are both backed up to duplicated memory cards to make sure everything is safe. Events move quickly and there are no retakes, so I always come prepared with spare equipment in case i need it. Once i get back to the office, everything is backed up to a hard drive and whisked off to the cloud also for extra measure.

Yes — I travel across the UK (and further afield if required).
If your event is outside Yorkshire, travel costs may apply, but we’ll confirm everything clearly during booking so you know exactly what to expect.

Yes — you receive full usage rights for personal and promotional use related to the event.
You can share the photographs with friends and family, order prints and post them on social media straight from the gallery!
If you’re a business you can use your photos for marketing, PR or internal communications. If you’re working with a PR team or agency, I’m happy to provide images directly if helpful.

Save your date with a £200 deposit and completing the booking form.
Once you’re happy to go ahead, I’ll send a simple booking form. A deposit secures your date, and the remaining balance is due before the event day.
Payments can be made in instalments if it helps with planning.
